National Committee Chair Report

NAIFA-Broward was represented at the National Leadership Conference, NLC recently held in Washington, DC.  Past NAIFA-Broward/NAIFA-Florida President and NAIFA Trustee Stephen Estler, CLU, ChFC joined me at the NLC. The day and a half event was packed with training on strategies to strengthen chapters on membership, political involvement, political action fund raising and the second annual Belong Event.

Outgoing NAIFA President Tom Michel gave an emotional summary of this past year highlighting our growth and diversity of NAIFA Nation. Portions of the conference was streamed live to provide for greater member engagement. The 2022 officers and trustees were elected and installed. NAIFA-Florida Past Presidents Bryon Holz was installed as President-Elect and Tom Cothron was installed as Secretary. The installation of two NAIFA-Florida members to serve on the executive board marks a first in NAIFA history. Both Holz and Cothron are in line to be NAIFA President 2023 and 2024. The NAIFA-Florida contingent represented nearly nine percent of conference attendees.

In addition to conducting leadership training and NAIFA business there was plenty of opportunities for networking, fun, motivation, recognition, and great food by former White House Chef Marti Mongiello.

The next NAIFA National Leadership Conference will be held in November, 2022.
